Why does LBRA do fundraising?
The Lake Brantley Rowing Association a 503(c) non profit organization. LBRA strives to keep the out of pocket expenses as low as possible to help us appeal to a larger pool of rowers. Our fundraising activities help us cover the operating expenses of the club. Our expenses include boat maintenance, insurance, facility rental, coaching salaries, etc. We also strive to provide scholarships for aspiring rowers interested in joining our team.

What are my fundraising responsibilities?
Each rower family is responsible to help in the fundraising activities. Each rower is responsible for a fundraising commitment per year. LBRA sponsors numerous fundraising opportunities to help the rowers meet their fundraising targets. Each rower who participates in the car washes, candy sales, etc receives credit toward their fundraising target based on their participation in the event.

What about corporate donations?
Some corporations have been very generous in their support of LBRA. We have had donations of building supplies, services, and cash. If you work for a company that can provides funding or services for us, please let us know. Some donations may be applied toward your fundraising commitment.

How can I get involved in the fundraising activities?
Don't be bashful!! Introduce yourself and step right up. We are always looking for parents to get involved in the activities. If you have a preference for a specific type of activity, please let us know. We always need help with the fundraising committee. Other areas where volunteers are needed include boathouse and equipment maintenance, finance committee, membership committee, and hospitality committee.
